Fair Use Policy

Available Now is designed for genuine business availability. We want businesses to be able to post freely without ordinary users worrying about artificial limits, while also protecting customers, other businesses and the service from spam, automation and excessive use.

Normal use by a genuine business — including frequent posting by a busy business — is welcome. This policy is aimed at misuse, not at penalising legitimate activity.

What counts as fair use?

Fair use means posting genuine availability, cancellations, spare appointments, short-notice capacity or other legitimate opportunities that relate to your business and that customers can reasonably act on.

What isn’t fair use?

Mass-posting large numbers of duplicate, misleading or fictional availability posts.
Using scripts, bots or automated tools to flood the platform or bypass normal controls.
Posting irrelevant content, advertising disguised as availability, or content intended mainly to dominate search results or the live feed.
Creating repeated near-identical posts purely to gain additional visibility.
Activity that places an unreasonable technical load on the service or materially reduces the experience for other users.
Using multiple accounts or businesses to avoid restrictions or moderation measures.

How we deal with unusual usage

We may monitor posting volumes and patterns to keep Available Now reliable. Where usage looks unusual, we would normally contact the account holder first. We may remove duplicate or inappropriate posts, temporarily slow or restrict posting, or suspend access where necessary to protect the service or other users.

High-volume businesses

If your business genuinely needs to post at unusually high volumes — for example because you operate multiple locations, teams or large numbers of bookable slots — contact us. Genuine commercial use is not something we want to discourage, and we can agree an appropriate setup.

Spotlights and promotional features

Any included or purchased promotional features remain subject to their own allowances and rules. Fair use of availability posting does not create an unlimited right to promotional placement.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Available Now grows or as usage patterns change. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the service after an update means the current policy applies.
